Calling All Volunteers: Join Us for the San Jacinto Fall Fandango!
Are you ready to bring history to life? The San Jacinto Fall Fandango is taking place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the San Jacinto Monument in La Porte, Texas. This vibrant celebration of Texas in the 1830s features living history, music, games, and more.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help before, during, and after the event, with shifts available between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Be a part of this unique experience and contribute to a fun, educational, and community-focused event!
Volunteer Roles May Include:
- Assisting with event setup or breakdown
- Greeting guests and providing directions
- Helping with crafts, historical games, and activity stations
- Supporting reenactors and living history activities
- Staffing the info booth or museum entrance
- Restocking supplies and keeping areas tidy
No experience is required — just bring a helpful attitude and a willingness to jump in where needed. Volunteers may rotate between areas during their shift to help where support is most needed. A meal will be provided during your shift as a thank-you for your support.
What to Expect as a Volunteer
- All volunteers will receive a meal during their shift as a thank-you.
- We’ll have Water Monsters on site with unlimited iced water available all day. Bring a reusable bottle if you can. We’ll also have cups if needed.
Volunteer orientation will be held the week before the event. You have the option to attend one of the two sessions. These are a great way to get familiar with the layout and ask questions before event day:
- Tuesday, October 14, at 12:00 noon
- Thursday, October 16, at 6:00 p.m.
