help keep the star shining bright.
May 2019: Thank you for supporting the museum through the closure caused by the fire and chemical spill. Although the museum has reopened, the 51.5 day closure, at the museum's busiest time of year, has led to a loss of revenue of over $200,000. Your gift, of any size, is particularly valuable at this time. Thank you for helping us to share your history through all of our educational programs.
Membership fees and donations keep the doors open and the culture cultivating. Funds raised support all aspects of museum and library operations from staff salaries and office expenses to new exhibits to educational activities.
Your donations are also critical for running the gift shop, the Jesse H. Jones Theatre for Texas Studies, the observation floor and elevator, as well as special museum events and activities. Additional funds support projects such as new exhibitions, collections, and our Master Plan for long-range development.
No donation is too small, and every penny is appreciated. Donate securely using PayPal, below.
