Texian Frontier Revelry: Relive the 1830s
Step back in time and immerse yourself in the vibrant spirit of the 1830s at the San Jacinto Fall Fandango on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. In an era when neighbors lived miles apart, social gatherings like a fandango were essential for bringing communities together. Families and friends are invited to join us as we explore civilian life on the Texas frontier and experience the joy of these historic festivities.
Update: We are aware of the rainy conditions expected for Saturday, October 25, 2025, but the show must go on! Events like this take months of planning, countless hours of coordination, and the help of many wonderful people who make the day special for you, our valued guests. With that in mind, we will be moving forward with the Fall Fandango, with a few adjustments. Many of our living history activities will now take place indoors, and all performances will be held in the Jesse H. Jones Theatre. Museum admission will be free for the day, and all exhibits will remain open for viewing.
We are ready to welcome you and look forward to sharing a day filled with Texas history, frontier revelry, and family fun!
