Foot warmer; wooden frame (a) with wire handle for carrying, metal container (b) has holes punched in the top and sides and door on one side for inserting coal.
Donor's father, Dr,. George Keith, practiced medicine in Wichita Fall, Texas during the 1870s. Foot warmers or stoves were used as early as colonial times in New England. Women and children carried them to church.
