Piece of bridle; dark leather band (perhaps a headpiece) decorated with eight-pointed stars and rivets in silver; silver end piece forms a 90 degree angle; strap is broken on both ends and in the middle (object is in two pieces).
Belonged to Mexican President Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna and were auctioned to Sidney Sherman following the Battle of San Jacinto. Donor is a descendant of Sidney Sherman
