Description

Pieces of bridle; dark leather straps trimmed with silver end pieces; 3455a connects to 3455b and contains a buckle; 3455b has holes at the end of the strap for buckling.


Provenance

Belonged to Mexican President Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna and was auctioned off to Sidney Sherman following the Battle of San Jacinto. Donor is a descendant of Sidney Sherman.
