Description
Saddle horn only. Iron. Four prongs for attaching to saddle frame. Three screw holes on each front prong, two on each rear prong. Numerous weld and repair marks.
Provenance
Found at the battlefield at Fannin, Texas buried approximately one foot deep. The workers who found it gave the saddle horn to Mr. T. J. Duncans of Victoria, Texas. Mr. Duncans gave it to the donor, his nephew. When found, the top was bent to the right and the left side was broken. Has since been repaired.
