Description
Woman's lace blouse. Either a vestee or chemisette. Made of white Belgian needlepoint lace with delicate flower designs appliqued on fine bobbin net, "Point Gaze" handmade lace. Fair condition, slight discoloration; slight stains within pattern.
Provenance
Belonged to Frances Judith Somes Trask (Mrs. William Thompson), 1806-1892, who came to Texas in 1834 and was a pioneer Texas teacher at Independence, Austin, Rock Island, and Jasper until the 1860s.
