Description
Copper plate mounted on wooden block. Half tone. Oval emblem. Star above. "TEXAS" below. Border has laurel wreath and reads "LIBERTY" and "INDEPENDENCE".

From Thomas Jefferson Chambers martingale ornament (catalog number 9508). Used on the cover of the 1951 "Honor Roll" (San Jacinto Museum of History publication catalog number 15924).
