FLORES, NEPOMUCENO -- Born in Texas in 1811. He was issued a Headright Certificate for a league and labor of land May 11, 1838, by the Bexar County Board. He was a corporal in Captain Juan N. Seguin's Company at San Jacinto and on May 15, 1838, was issued Donation Certificate No. 82 for 640 acres of land for having participated in the battle. On ____ he received Bounty Certificate No. 3487 for 1280 acres of land for having served in the army from February 25, 1836 to May 18, 1837. In Service Record No. 4223 it is certified that he served as First Lieutenant from October 14, 1836, until he was discharged.
Mr. Flores died in Wilson County in 1881 while a member of the Texas Veterans Association.
