BEAMS, OBEDIAH P. - Born in Jefferson County, Tennessee in 1816. His name appears on page 227 of the army rolls in the General Land Office as one of Captain Gibson’s Kuykendall’s Company who was detailed to guard the baggage at the camp opposite Harrisburg, April 21, 1836. Mr. Beams received no bounty or donation certificate.
