THOMPSON, JESSE G. -- Came to Texas in Jun, 1835, as is stated in the Headright Certificate issued to him January 19, 1838, for a league and labor of land by the Houston County Board of Land Commissioners. He was a member of Captain William Ware's Company at San Jacinto and on November 21, 1839 he received Donation Certificate No. 954 for 640 acres of land for having participated in the battle. He sold the certificate July 1, 1848 to L. Williams, while living in Houston County. His headright land was surveyed in Houston County in 1838 with Mr. Thompson acting as one of the chain carriers.

THOMPSON, J. G. -- Served in Captain Silas M. Parker's Company from October 23, 1835 to January 25, 1836.
