NASH, JAMES H. -- Listed on page 22 of the army rolls in the General Land Office as James Nash, a member of Captain Chesshire's Company before Bexar in 1835. On page 1 of the rolls James Nash in shown as having enlisted in Captain Byrd Lockhart's Company February 23, 1536.

Following are copies of Comptroller's Military Service Records found in the Archives of the Texas State Library, Austin:

No. 32 This Certificate $17.56/100 entitles J. H. Nash to Seventeen 56/100 dollars, for Two months and six days service, from March 23rd 1836 until May 28th 1836 in Capt Karnes' Company 1836.
