FLYNN, THOMAS J. -- Listed on page 10 of the San Jacinto rolls printed in 1836 as Flynn, given name or initials not being shown, a member of Captain Henry Teal's Company of Regulars. On page 130 of the army rolls in the General Land Office his name appears as T. J. Figon, a member of Company A, Captain Teal, First Regiment of Infantry, June 30, 1826, and he is shown as having been promoted to Corporal, June 27th. On page 143 Thomas J. Flynn is shown as Fourth Corporal of Captain Teal's Company August 31, 1836, but at that time on detached service at Linn's Warehouse. On page 149 Thomas J. Flynn is shown as First Corporal of Company B, Captain Jacob Snively, First Regiment of Infantry, October 31, 1836.

On November 4, 1837 Bounty Certificate No. 93 for 1280 acres of land was issued to Mr. Flynn for his services in the army from January 15, 1836 to November 4, 1837. On November 9, 1837 he sold the certificate at Houston for $100.00 to John Belden.
Mr. Flynn evidently left Texas shortly after being discharged from the army, since he did not apply for a headright or for the land due him for having participated in the battle of San Jacinto.
