AROCHA, MANUEL -- Born in Texas. He assigned his Headright Certificate for a third of a league of land to William R, Hensley and Mr. Hensley on April 9, 1838, was issued the certificate by the Bexar County Board. Mr. Arocha was on December 21, 1837, issued Bounty Certificate No. 123 for 320 acres of land for serving in the army from March 1 to June 1, 1836. He was a member of Captain Juan N. Seguin's Company and Donation Certificate No. 397 for 640 acres of land was issued in his name December 9, 1851, for his having participated in the battle of San Jacinto. The land was surveyed in Bandera County in 1852.
