COBLE, ADAM -- Came to Texas in 1835, as is shown in the Headright Certificate for a league and labor of land, issued to him by the Fort Bend County Board March 1, 1838. He was issued Donation Certificate No. 120 for 640 acres of land for having participated in the Storming of Bexar, December 5 to 10, 1835, on August 12, 1848. Bounty Certificate No. 1430 for 320 acres of land was issued to him for serving in the army from March 20, to May 20, 1836. He was a member of Captain Benjamin F. Bryant's company at San Jacinto. In Service Record No. 2682 it is shown that he was discharged from Captain Byrd Lockhart's company August 16, 1836.

Mr. Coble, as shown in the Marriage Records of Fort Bend County, was married to Mary Metcalf in Fort Bend County January 6, 1838.
Mr. Coble was living in Lavaca County September 28, 1850, when he sold his Donation Certificate No. 120.
