LEE, HIRAM - Came to Texas in 1830 as is stated in the headright certificate issued to his heirs March 23, 1838 for one-third of a league of land by the Board of Land Commissioners for Washington County. He is listed on page 41 of the army rolls in the General Land Office as one of the men of Company E, Captain Gibson Kuykendall, who were detailed to guard the baggage at the camp opposite Harrisburg, April 21, 1836. His heirs did not apply for the donation land due. Bounty certificate No. 9090 for 320 acres of land was issued in Mr. Lee’s name May 3, 1839, due him for his services in the army from March 1 to June 1, 1836.

The Probate Records of Washington County show that Sanford Woodward was appointed administrator of Mr. Lee’s estate, July 31, 1837.

The Deed Records of Washington County show that the heirs of Hiram Lee, all of whom resided in Washington County, sold land to Abner Lee June 17, 1874. The heirs were Jessie H. and Lucinda Lee Johnson; James F. and Josephine Lee Estes; and Eugene and Anna M. Lee Robinson. Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Estes and Mrs. Robinson were sisters of Hiram Lee.
