Description

Banner (a), Army and Air Corps Mother's Club of Houston. White satin field with red satin border. Title (red) at top of white field, "Army and Air Corps Mother's Club". 198 blue stars arranged in 19 rows, with the names of the members' husbands and sons in the service below; eleven gold stars within the rows, with the names of the members' husbands and sons lost in service, below. Wooden rods with gilt knobs at top and bottom of banner (b-c). Gold silk cord and tassels (d) attach to top rod. Good condition. Slight discoloration, staining. Slight wrinkling. Slight fraying (stars). Stain at name (A.H. Burton Jr.) Slight loss of gilt color (knobs).
