Description

Banner (a), Army and Air Corps Mother's Club of Houston. White satin field with red satin border and 140 blue stars. The names of the sons and husbands (of the club members) serving in World War II are embroidered below the stars. The six gold stars (with names below) represent the men who died in service. Banner reads at top, "Army and Air Corps Mother's Club". Wooden rod with gilt knobs at each end (b). Gold silk cord and tassels (c) fastened at top rod. Good condition, slight wrinkling. Negligible staining at top (near title). Negligible loss - gilt, on rod and at knobs.
