Description

Mexican military insignia. (Perhaps buckle). Oblong plate. Gilded. Finish wearing. Script letters "BG" inscribed with a superscript "o" over the G. Small hole on bottom of plate.

Provenance

Plowed up by Mr. Lee Selph, a mule team contractor, while building roads on the San Jacinto Battlefield.
