Description

Banner, World War II Service - Gulf Coast Firemen's Association. Service banner with red silk border and 212 blue stars arranged in alternating rows (13 rows of 8, 12 rows of 9) on white silk. One horizontal opening for support. Two wooden rods (b-c), gilt ends; missing one end (c). One long wooden vertical support pole (d). Two gold silk cords and tassels, detached (e-f). Fair condition, moderate discoloration of silk (white), slight staining. Moderate wrinkling. Adhesive residue (b-d), removed accession labels. Loose tacks (b).
