Make Your Own Corn Husk Doll

Learn how to make the must-have toy of 1836: the corn husk doll! Kids had to make their own toys on the Texas frontier, and a corn husk doll was a staple of a Texas childhood in the 1830s. Join us to learn about dolls on the frontier and make your own corn husk doll to take home. We'll provide the materials; all you need is your creativity.
When: Sunday, November 20; drop in between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Where: Outside the San Jacinto Monument
Age Range: Kids 6+; younger children are welcome, but will need to have an adult to help.
Cost: Free
Note: The program is outside, so prepare for the weather. Program will be cancelled in case of rain.
