Learn More about our Curriculum Guide.
Have you had a chance to take a look at the San Jacinto Museum's new curriculum guide? Are you excited about it but completely overwhelmed by its size and would like some help on devising effective strategies to get it working in your classroom? Contact the mueum and let us know and we will see what we can do to break it down for you. If there is enough interest, we could hold another teacher in service on the topic at the museum or, if you represent a large enough group (school district/home school assocation), you might want to see if you can work with the guide's writer, Yvonne Pittman on a program designed specifically for your needs.
Ms. Pittman and Elizabeth Appleby, the Curator of the San Jacinto Museum of History have hosted and attended numerous discussions since the release of the guide that focus on how to effectively use this exciting new educational tool in the classroom, including a review of the guide (available for free as a download on this site), an examination of several of the specific activities and advice on how the guide can be adapted for classroom use.
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are an educator looking to learn more about how this wonderful educational tool can work for you.
