During the Texas Revolution, Mexican soldiers fired pre-made cartridges filled with black powder and a musket ball wrapped in paper.  Learn how they worked by making your own replica cartridge using candy in place of the bullet and gunpowder.  This free program is appropriate for kids aged 5 and up; younger children are welcome, but will need to have an adult to help.

On San Jacinto Family Day, the first Saturday of the month, kids are are admitted to the museum for free when accompanied by a parent or grandparent who purchases a ticket.
