2014 Membership Lunch

Who:  Members of the San Jacinto Museum of History.

What: The Annual Lunch for Members, with a presentation by Dr. J. Frank de la Teja, on "Santa Anna and Me: Antonio Menchaca Remembers San Jacinto." 

Where: Taste of Texas, which is opening early for this special event. 

Why: To thank you for your support of the San Jacinto Museum of History.

When: Saturday, February 8, 2014, 2:00 p.m.

 

Dr. de la Teja's talk will focus on Menchaca's recollections of the battle and the days immediately after, when he tells the story of how he helped the Napoleon of the West in the hours following his capture. Dr. de la Teja's book, Recollections of a Tejano life: Antonio Menchaca in Texas History, will be published December 2013. 

The event is free for members of the Museum at the Museum Circle, Monument Society, Sam Houston Society, and San Jacinto Society levels; a fee may apply for other membership levels.
