Cannon

Though they had a brass cannon (described by Dr. Nicholas D. Labadie as a twelve-pounder called the Golden Standard), Mexican artillery at San Jacinto had little effect.

The Texians used two six-pound cannons donated by the city of Cincinnati, known as the Twin Sisters, to rip through Mexican lines with horseshoes, nails, broken glass and musket balls.

Replica of one of the Twin Sisters.
