Extra drywall is being installed to create a longer fire barrier in the 3rd and 4th floor offices.  Pressure testing of the sprinklers on the 3rd and 4th floors has been successful.

The sprinkler valve has been installed on the 4th floor.  The framing for the drywall, needed to separate the stairwell in the monument shaft from the elevator access on the 4th floor, is visible above.  Installation of the fire alarm system continues in the theater.

Scaffolding is set up throughout the theater, as workers install the sprinker system.

These studs will support the firewall around the stairway.  The old handrail on the far side of the stairs has been removed.

March 1, 2006

Sprinkler pipes are being installed in the inner basement area.  Again, the workers are taking special care to protect the contents of the area.

The bore hole for the water line has been filled in, and new large bushes are being planted where the old ones were removed.
