To see the events of the past more clearly, we’re looking to the future. The San Jacinto Museum of History Association and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department have teamed up to execute a Master Plan to maintain and develop San Jacinto Battleground State Historical Park.
The Master Plan will restore the battlefield to its condition at the time of the Battle of San Jacinto, as well as allow for the construction of a new museum and visitor’s center. Facilities will be moved away from the battlefield area, which will revert to its wild prairie state of 1836.
