Volunteers Needed!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the San Jacinto Day Festival and Battle Reenactment. More than 30,000 visitors joined us for the Festival in 2007. Highlights of the event include living history camps, craft demonstrations and vendors reflecting Texas in the 19th century. There are music entertainers, a children's arts and crafts area, and of course, the largest battle reenactment in the state. As a volunteer, you will learn how Texas won its independence. You will also meet new people, feel good about giving back to your community, and most importantly, have fun!
We are most grateful for your support in helping the continued growth of this important educational event. Each and every volunteer position is critical to the success of the San Jacinto Day Festival. You will be assigned an area and time slot prior to the day of the event. You will also receive a parking pass; there is no admission fee for the Festival.
Volunteer areas include:
-
Information and Volunteer Check-in Booths during the Festival
-
Working with kids in the Children's Craft Area
-
Set up tents and chairs, decoration, signage (all day Friday, April 25 and early April 26)
-
Tear down tents, remove banners and signage (starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 26)
