Description

Inkstand. Tray (a) and inkwell (b). Corrugated tin with traces of iridescent blue-green paint. Tray (a) divided into three compartments. Center compartment appears to have once had curved brackets to hold an inkwell. Inkwell (b) is tin over glass with a flared top.


Provenance

Belonged to Colonel Alexander Horton, veteran of San Jacinto and grandfather of donor.
