Description

Brooch (a). Grayish rock in gold setting. "Plymouth Rock" engraved on back of setting. Brooch came in dark green jewelry box (b) with white interior lining. Outside of box contains Mexican national emblem (eagle with serpent in clutches) in gold. "LA ESMERALDA/Hauser, Fivy y Cia/MEXICO/PARIS" printed in gold on inside.


Provenance

Pin was presented in 1866 by Mr. Charles Augustus Jones to his wife. They are the maternal grandparents of the donor.
