Description

Portable writing desk. Wood and cardboard with a dark lacquer finish. Hinged locking lid. Top of lid has inlaid mother-of-pearl design with birds and flowers. Desk decorated with painted gold and yellow scrolled foliate design. Lid folds down to create a red velvet lined writing surface. Top panel of writing surface also hinged and opens to a large storage compartment. Two small storage bins and a pencil tray above writing surface. Pencil tray lifts out to reveal an additional storage compartment.
