China bowl. Exterior decorated with various animals, flowers, and repeated scene of a couple at a table. Pink flowers at bottom of interior.


Provenance

Given by Chinese ambassador to the United States to Mrs. Sam Houston in the late 1840's. From the collection of Franklin Weston Williams, grandson of Sam and Margaret Houston and father of the donor.
