Description

Ditty bag with multiple compartments. Served as military utility kit, made of blue wood and lined in red wool and cotton. "H Rumler", stitched with red thread on wool exterior. Bag belonged to Sergeant Henry A. Rumler, 3rd Regiment, Company F., Spanish-American War. Fair condition- excellent color (fabrics); evidence of insect damage (clothes moth) with 5 feeding holes on exterior of pouch near "H Rumler"; interior, two damage holes (wool fabric only). One negligible hole, pouch string. Negligible discoloration, staining on interior.
