WEPPLER, PHILIP The compiler has been unable to learn when Mr. Weppler came to Texas. He did not apply for land from the Mexican Government or for a headright from the Republic of Texas. He was issued Bounty Certificate No. 1341 for 1280 acres of land December 27, 1837, for serving in the army from April 1 to May 31, 1836. This he sold while in New Orleans June 21, 1838. He received Bounty Certificate No. 1460 for 320 acres of land for his services from June 1 to September 1, 1836. He was a member of Captain Moseley Baker's San Felipe Company at San Jacinto and Donation Certificate No. 250 for 640 acres of land for having participated in the battle was issued to him May 29, 1838. The land was surveyed six and one-half miles south of the town of Franklin in Robertson County. He was Deputy County Clerk of Robertson County in 1839.
In Book A, Probate Records of Robertson County it is shown that Mr. Weppler died in January, 1840.
