Creator Sketch:

Michael C. Munlin served in the 21^st Regiment Engineers (L. R.), United States Army, in France during World War I.  He returned to the United States in May 1919.

Scope and Content Note:

Military documents, a postcard and souvenir pamphlet from the troop ship S. S. Grant, and a map of Alsace-Lorraine document the military service of Michael C. Munlin with the 21^st Engineers (L. R.) in France (1918 – 1919).  The documents include Munlin’s identity card, papers concerned with his leave in January 1919, and his pay record book.
