The new Curriculum Guide For Teaching Texas History, designed to incorporate the current TEKS Standards for Social Studies, is now available.

The goal of this curriculum guide is to enhance your Texas History course with both primary and secondary documents from the vast collections of the San Jacinto Museum. In addition, many artifacts have been included to pique visual interest. All lessons are aligned to the Texas objectives known as Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) which were revised in 2010 by the State Board of Education.  The Curriculum Guide for Teaching Texas History is available in PDF format.  Individual sections are also available to teachers as Word documents, by request to sjm@sanjacinto-museum.org.

You must have Adobe Acrobat to view this file.
