PEARCE, EDWARD--Was issued Bounty Certificate No. 1380, December 26, 1837, for 1280 acres of land for serving in the army from January 12, 1836 to December 26, 1837. This he sold at Houston December 27, 1837 to Jacob Bennett for $300.00. He could not write. He was a member of Captain Henry Teal's Company at San Jacinto. On a muster roll at the General Land Office he is shown as a member of Captain Stively's Company October 31, 1836.
