KUYKENDALL, BRAZILLA - One of the “Old Three Hundred” of Austin’s Colonists. He received title to a league of land in what is now Austin County, August 7, 1824.
On August 8, 1838 he was issued Bounty Certificate No. 4176 for 320 acres of land for having served in the army from March 1 to May 3, 1836. He is shown on page ________ of the army rolls in the General Land Office as one of the men of Captain Gibson Kuykendall’s company who were detailed to guard the baggage at the camp opposite Harrisburg, April 21, 1836. The Land Office records do not show that he applied for the donation land due him.
