San Jacinto Museum Family Day

WHAT:  Buy one adult and get one child's combo ticket FREE.

Tickets include admission to:

• Ride the famous 489-foot elevator to the top of the Monument.
• View the digital presentation Texas Forever!! The Battle of San Jacinto.
• Tour Drawn from Experience: Landmark Maps of Texas at the San Jacinto Museum of History, an exhibit that features more than fifty important maps depicting Texas and the Gulf Coast region that date from the 16th century to the present.
• Learn about Texas through a visit to the San Jacinto Museum of History, located at the base of the Monument.

WHEN: Friday-Saturday, December 7-8, 2007, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES:

Free tours of the map exhibit on Friday.  Tours will be at 10:00, 11:00, 1:00 and 2:00, led by the curatorial staff. 

Children's crafts relating to the map exhibit on Saturday.

Reenactors in period dress will greet visitors on Saturday.

PRICE: Adult combo tickts are $12 each for entrance to the elvator ride, Texas Forever!! and Drawn from Experience.  Tickts for individual activities are also available.  There are discounts for seniors and tour groups.
