Description

Bandolier. Black velvet with white satin stripe trimmed with silver braiding. Lined with green satin. Pencil outline on white satin at chest, apparently of a portion of a nine-pointed star emblem (see catalog number 3241). "87" in pencil inside of outline. Silver plated formee cross as part of a snap clasp at one end of sash. Cross reads "IN HOC SIGNO VINCES" (by this sign {the cross] you will conquer). Cross on reverse at shoulder blade in red ribbon. Small hook at shoulder. Green label on reverse reads "D. G> POLAND". Reverse of snap reads "THE HENDERSON-AMES CO. KALAMAZOO, MICH." Knights Templar regalia.

According to the original catalog card was received in a box marked "Masonic Regalia of Richard Keene of the Mier Expedition". Matches Knights Templar insignia.
